Pre-operative Checklist

Prior to your pet’s scheduled surgery appointment, please ensure all pre-operative medications are administered exactly as prescribed, including anxiety-reducing, anti-nausea, and pain management medications. This pre-operative check list will be provided in house after your consultation. Your pet must be fasted after midnight the night before surgery (unless otherwise instructed), while still able to have water and medications prescribed. Do not withhold water. Your pet should have access to water at all times. Additionally, prepare a safe recovery space at home that allows limited movement, ensure clean bedding is available, and obtain appropriate paper litter for cats. Small bags of paper litter are available for purchase in house. Please review and sign off on each completed item and bring back the checklist to reception on the morning of surgery.
